Usage notes

According to Den Danske Ordbog, in this sense Julestjernen is a proper noun (egennavn) and should be capitalised. As an ordinary noun, julestjerne is a plant (Euphorbia pulcherrima), or a Christmas decoration placed (for example) on top of the Christmas tree.
