  1. (anatomy) cruciate ligament
  2. (post, historical) A print under band; a type of banded mail (often fastened in a cross-like fashion) discontinued in 1981; a cheaper form of brev (letter or light parcel) which was (most often) not allowed to contain any personal message and where the consignment was mostly uncovered and exposed, intended for mass mailings such as books, journals, business cards, product samples and advertisements.

      Korsbandsförsändelser. För inländsk tidning, tidskrift m.m. utgör afgiften 1 öre för hvar vikt af 50 gram eller del däraf, dock minst 4 öre (lokalförsändelse minst 2 öre).
      Print under band. For domestic newspapers, periodicals, etc., the charge is 1 öre for each weight of 50 grams or part thereof, with a minimum of 4 öre (for local consignments, a minimum of 2 öre).
