Etymology

From Russian дубовый язык (dubovyj jazyk, coarse, heavy language, literally oaken language) via Polish [Term?]. Originally referring to the language of the tsarist bureaucracy, it was later used by the Solidarność movement in Poland and then picked up by the French media.
