Etymology[edit]

Singularized plural of *lik from Proto-Albanian *lika, from Proto-Indo-European *leikʷ (to leave, to remain). Cognate to Sanskrit रिणक्ति (riṇákti, to leave), Latin linquō, and Old High German lihhan.[1]
