From Lua error in Module:etymology at line 156: Old Occitan (pro) is not set as an ancestor of Catalan (ca) in Module:languages/data/2. The ancestor of Catalan is Old Catalan (roa-oca). (compare Occitan lait, lach), from Vulgar Latin lactem (“milk”, masculine or feminine accusative), from Latin lac (“milk”, neuter), from Proto-Indo-European *ǵlákts. Romance cognates include French lait, Spanish leche, Italian latte.
