Albanian

Etymology

According to Orel, from luvgat, from (Vulgar) Latin *lupus peccatus, with difficult semantics. Most probably from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Proto-Albanian *laubitja, related to Sanskrit लुभ्यति (lúbhyati, to wish), Proto-Slavic *l'ubiti (to love), thus unrelated to lugat.
