Etymology

From circumfix form (deprecated template usage) meng- +‎ mutakhir +‎ -kan, constructed from prefix and suffix meng- +‎ mutakhir +‎ -kan. Prefix meng- before initials /l/, /m/, /n/, /ɲ/ ⟨ny⟩, /ŋ/ ⟨ng⟩, /r/, /y/ or /w/ will cause fusion with transformation of meng- into me-.
