In Northern Tai, cognate with Bouyei ndil.

In Southwestern Tai, cognate with Thai ดี (dii), Northern Thai ᨯᩦ (di), Lao ດີ (), ᦡᦲ (ḋii), Shan လီ (lǐi), Ahom 𑜓𑜣 (), 𑜃𑜣 () or 𑜑𑜣 ().
