ni- (modal) + -∅- (3rd person subject prefix) + -∅- (classifier) + -chįʼ (imperfective stem of root -CHĮʼ, “to be stingy”).

- he/she is stingy, selfish, protective
- Baa nichįʼ ― He doesn't want to lend it, he keeps it for himself (something of high value).
