Borrowed from Latin notarius.

  1. notary, lawyer, solicitor, counsel, attorney, barrister.

Usage notes

  • Notario can cover some of the functions of all of these professions. Due to the different laws in different countries, there is no exact one for one relationship. Notario is a lesser profession than abogado.
