Etymology

Via (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Lua error in Module:parameters at line 95: Parameter 1 should be a valid language code; the value "prv" is not valid. See WT:LOL. pezatge, from Medieval Latin pedaticum (found in medieval charters), from Latin pedem (“foot”). Alternatively a very old derivation of Old French pied (cf. the medieval forms paage, peage). Unrelated to the verb payer (to pay).
