Borrowed from Ancient Greek παρασύνθεσις (parasúnthesis).

parasynthesis (countable and uncountable, plural parasyntheses)

  1. (grammar) The formation of words by a combination of compounding and adding an affix, as in brown-eyed.
  2. (grammar) The formation of words in which the prefixing and the suffixing are involved simultaneously, as in multifaceted.
