pennaraptoran (plural pennaraptorans)
- Any member of the clade Pennaraptora, which includes birds and some of their extinct maniraptoran relatives.
Usage notes[edit]
Although modern birds are also pennaraptorans, the term is mostly used in reference to their ancestors and relatives before the emergence of modern birds, and to the clade as a whole.
