- The phrase falâ portuguesado refers to both when a person speaks Portuguese and when a person speaks Macanese.
- In Macanese, examples of portuguesado would include the usage of /ʁ/ in ⟨rr⟩ and word-initial ⟨r⟩, as well as pronouncing ⟨d⟩ as /ð/.
- There is no verb *portuguesâ in Macanese.
