From (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Proto-Albanian *ki(i)atśi-, from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Proto-Indo-European *kei-(h2-) (to put, set in motion). Cognate to Ancient Greek κίατο ἐκινει̃το (kíato ekineĩto), Lithuanian kečiù, kėsti (to stretch).
