English[edit]

Noun[edit]

releasate (plural releasates)

  1. Any material released by platelets into the bloodstream e. g. Serotonin is released by both human and mouse platelets after HA-hIgG activation: The releasate from HA-hIgG–activated human or mouse platelets contained high concentrations of serotonin and was able to induce significant hypothermia when transferred into recipient mice, whereas the releasate from serotonin-depleted platelets induced only a mild hypothermia.
