From Ottoman Turkish رسما, from Arabic رَسْمًا (rasman), adverbial accusative of رَسْم (rasm).

- seriously, in earnest (frequently found in informal speech in diverse connotations, sometimes ironicaly or in disbelieve for something which shouldn't happen or done seriously but done all the same)
- resmen saçmaladın ― seriously! this is all nonsense.
- resmen yalan ― it is an out-and-out lie.
