Unadapted borrowing from Japanese 最敬禮, 最敬礼(さいけいれい) (saikeirei, most respectful bow).

Noun[edit]

seikirei (first-person possessive seikireiku, second-person possessive seikireimu, third-person possessive seikireinya)

  1. (historical) a low, deep bow, a respectful bow, reserved to the Emperor of Japan; a practice in Indonesia during World War II during the Japanese occupation where Indonesian bowed facing northwards.
