springback (countable and uncountable, plural springbacks)

  1. (countable) An inner false joint on a bound book, springing upward from the true or outer back when the book is opened flat.
  2. (uncountable) The amount by which a material such as metal or wood springs back after being bent.

      This unit features precalculation of required overbend, which Datex calls "adaptive springback compensation."
