stāvams (definite stāvamais; adverb stāvami)

  1. which can or should be stood (in, at, on); (deprecated template usage) indefinite present passive participle of stāvēt 
    kājās stāvams ceļsa path on which one should stand, a path to be stood on
    altāra priekšā pie trelīņiem, kur stāvams dievgaldniekiemin front of the altar, at the little rail where the communicants are supposed to stand
    gribu mierīgu darbu, vislabāk jau sēžamu, ne kājās stāvamu, bet nu 8 gadu laikā jau esmu pieradusi arī pie tāI want a calm job, preferably one where (one) can sit, not (one where) (one) must stand on (one's) legs, but now in 8 years I have become used to that, too
