stick down (third-person singular simple present sticks down, present participle sticking down, simple past and past participle stuck down)

  1. (transitive) To cause to stick to a surface.
    I can't stick this picture down. I need better glue.
  2. (intransitive) to stick to a surface.
    Eventually the plaster stuck down on my arm.
  3. To write something casually.
    If you don't know the answer, just stick down any old thing: you might get a mark for it.
