English[edit]

Etymology[edit]

sub- +‎ drama

Noun[edit]

subdrama (plural subdramas)

  1. A drama that makes up part of a larger drama.
    • 1987, Gordon MacDonald, Rediscovering Yourself, page 22:
The whole of mid-life is a drama, but within the drama several subdramas move side by side. At times they dovetail; on other occasions the subdramas move at different speeds toward divergent objectives.
