transmux (third-person singular simple present transmuxes, present participle transmuxing, simple past and past participle transmuxed)

  1. (telecommunications) Convert in realtime one telecommunications signal format to another, eg from SONET to DS3.
  2. Transcode some of the data streams in a multimedia file, while keeping some streams unchanged.
