1. Forms passive counterparts to transitive verbs.

   ‎ttwa- + ‎aru (“to write”) → ‎ttwaru (“to be written”)

   ‎ttwa- + ‎enɣ (“to kill”) → ‎ttwanɣ (“to be killed”)

Usage notes

Unlike many languages, passive counterparts to verbs in Kabyle are not inflections nor auxiliary verb constructions, but rather derived terms created by derivational prefixes.
