- 1905, Journal of the Medical Society of New Jersey, volume 2, page 271:
- The presence of food in any state of digestion or undigestion in the ileum must be a source of irritation and danger.
- 2000, Trevor Stone, L. Gail Darlington, Pills, Potions and Poisons : How Drugs Work:
- A new word was introduced recently into English — undigestion. This simply refers to a lack of movement of food in the stomach and small intestine and responds to treatment with domperidone.
