wet signature (plural wet signatures)

  1. A physical signature on a document, typically done in ink.

      A wet signature on an electronic form might be a scanned image of your analog signature. If you use a wet signature that's not part of a digital ID, the signature carries no validity, verification, security, or authenticity.
