Maltese[edit]
Etymology[edit]
From Arabic وَزَغ (wazaḡ).
Pronunciation[edit]
wiżagħ m (collective, singulative wiżgħa, paucal wiżgħat)
- lizards (in practice especially geckos or lacertids)
Usage notes[edit]
- It appears that the collective is now little used and the paucal wiżgħat has become a true plural.
