Etymology[edit]

yi- (progressive) + -∅- (3rd person subject prefix) + -∅- (classifier)-jah (progressive stem of root -JÉÉʼ, “run — 3+ actors”).

Verb[edit]

yijah

Usage notes[edit]

This stem is used for running in a group of three or more people. For individual movement, see yilwoł. For movement in pairs, see ahinoolchééł.

Singular forms of this verb, such as yishjah, refer to one subject's involved in a movement as a group.

This is a progressive verb; it is conjugated only in the progressive mode.
