yi- (progressive) + -∅- (3rd person subject prefix) + -l- (classifier)-woł (progressive stem of root -WOD, “to run — 1 actor”).

Verb[edit]

yilwoł

Usage notes[edit]

The stem used for running individually is different from the stems used for running in pairs or in groups. For movement in pairs, see ahinoolchééł. For movement in groups of three or more, see yijah.

Plural forms with this verb, such as yiilwoł, refer to several people running independently one from another.

This is a progressive verb; it is conjugated only in the progressive mode.
