zhlub (plural zhlubs)

  1. a crude person lacking in social skills along with insensitivity, clumsiness and a lack of manners
  2. an oaf, a bumpkin
  3. nebbish, a person of no color

  • Lexicographers refer to an ad placed in the personals by a schlub reading: "Sweet Jewish guy, 40. No skeletons, no heavy baggage. No personality, either."
