From ܡܪܬ (māraṯ, lady of), construct form of ܡܪܬܐ (mārtāʾ, lady, mistress) + ܥܪܣܐ (ʿarsāʾ, the bed). Compare Arabic ذَات الْكُرْسِيّ (ḏāt al-kursiyy).
