From Byzantine Greek ξελογιάζω (xelogiázō, to make someone go out of their mind, to make lose their logic), from ξε- (xe-, un-, de-) + λογιάζω (logiázo, to behave logically, to think, to plan), from λόγος (lógos, reason, logic).
