Also Category:en:Temporal gods, Category:en:Temporal goddesses (more overcategorization by a block-evading user known for their sub-par editing), Category:en:Solar gods, Category:en:Solar goddesses, Category:en:Lunar deities (which is too specific, IMO — the entries in it should, for the most part, be moved to Category:en:Gods; to be explicit, I am also proposing to delete Category:Lunar deities and any other language subcategories of it), Category:en:Underworld deities, Category:en:Death deities, Category:en:Temporal deities, Category:en:Solar deities.
This is overcategorization, IMO; the few entries that are in it should be moved to Category:en:Lunar deities or just Category:en:Gods. - This is our English Manga/supernatural afficionado who keeps adding garbage to English, Japanese and Chinese entries and creating new garbage entries. It's almost impossible communicating with them, so we resorting to blocking them on sight. For a while, they were posting to Eirikr (talk • contribs)'s talk page, so we backed off for a while to see if we could get them to clean up their act. It's become obvious lately that it didn't work, so we're back to blocking them again.
- They're constantly changing IPs, but they always geolocate to Sky Broadband, London, and they seem to be the only contributor who does so that edits Japanese. Any time I see a Sky Broadband, London IP who's adding certain types of trivia on supernatural topics and/or editing Japanese or Chinese entries, I block them immediately for a few days or a week. It doesn't stop them- they come right back with another IP- but it slows them down so our overworked Japanese and Chinese editors can begin to deal with the lamebrain stuff that gets through.
- Sometimes they branch out- doing entries on a multi-tailed supernatural fox in Japanese folklore recently got them interested in animal names, which lead to garbage in a whole new topic area. They're very stubborn, and they don't pay attention to deletion comments and the like, so they only very rarely ever learn what they're doing wrong. After close to three years on Wiktionary, they still routinely add interwikis and Wikipedia links to no-existent pages in spite of dozens of deletion, undo and block comments telling/asking nicely/pleading with them not to, for instance. They've lately become interested in how categories work, so they went through and created a slew of these deity categories (they're also interested in the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse and the Grim Reaper, so they made some Death-themed categories, too).
- There's also someone who uses IPs that geolocate to Easynet in Manchester and elsewhere in England who's also interested in Manga and also edits Japanese entries, but they seem to be more interested in Buddhism and traditional weaponry like swords, and they seem to be a little more responsible and reasonable (and did I mention competent). There's a lot of overlap, though. I always geolocate before I block, just to be on the safe side.

- I went back through a lot of edit histories and did wild-carded contributions searches to try and find some pattern in the IPs used that would allow a range block without taking in large swaths of England with them- no dice. I've read a sizable percentage of their thousands of edits (did I mention that I'm really stubborn sometimes, and don't know when to give up?), and they're quite impressive in their consistency- always subpar... - Delete all as overspecific. Category:en:Gods is specific enough, what sort of God they are (solar, lunar, etc.) should go in the definition but not in the categorization. Mglovesfun (talk) 09:32, 8 November 2013 (UTC)
