Kannada conjunction meaning "and". Is this attested per WT:ATTEST in use, using three quotations given Kannada is listed at Wiktionary:Criteria for inclusion/Well documented languages?

However, I tried to attest multiple randomly picked items from Category:Kannada lemmas, and failed. Does our attestation process really work well for Kannada? --Dan Polansky (talk) 10:02, 5 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe Kannada should be considered an LDL rather than a WDL. —Aɴɢʀ (talk) 13:18, 5 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
How did you test them, and what words were they? There should be inflection templates; if you want to try different forms, that might work. In any case, "ಮತ್ತು" is definitely a word. All it takes is a Google search (or a search in Google Books), and there are plenty of results, or is there some other attestation process a word needs to meet for inclusion that I'm not aware of? Here: attestations. Also, if you want to check, it's on the Kannada Wiktionary. Princeps linguae (talk) 13:22, 5 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Dan does not explain what the problem was. You just need to search for the word on Google Books] and select the sentences that you want. Google tries to convert the images of Kannada text to true Kannada text, but makes mistakes. I think you will need to look at the sentences and type them yourself. —Stephen (Talk) 13:50, 5 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, thanks. Sorry about that. [[1]] is a link to a book with "ಇರುವೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆನೆ"--a story titled "The Ant and the Elephant." Here, there is "ನಮ್ಮ ಕಾಲದ ಮತ್ತು ನಮ್ಮ ವರ್ಗದ ಜನ ಅನುಭವಿಸುವ ಭಾವಗಳು ಬಹಳ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ವಿವಿಧವೆಂದು ನಾವು ಭಾವಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ" ("The lives that people of our time and of our class experience are very important, and we understand so much.") ("'Harivansham' and 'Shudrakam' in the Puranas and kavya poems...: from these few songs accepting these usages becomes permissible.") Princeps linguae (talk) 14:41, 5 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Added the cites to Citations:ಮತ್ತು. —Stephen (Talk) 19:40, 6 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
