@Vahagn Petrosyan: I'm trying to clear out Category:Sanskrit terms needing native script, but I can't add a native script for "majdaīasni" because it isn't a possible word of Sanskrit (which doesn't allow adjacent vowels). Nyberg 130b doesn't exactly say it's Sanskrit; it says "Skr. v. majdaīasni" which suggests that the Sanskrit word is based on the Pahlavi form majdaīasni. Mazda is called Medhā in Sanskrit, so the form used in the Sanskrit translation of Menog-i Khrad is probably based on that. —Aɴɢʀ (talk) 13:41, 28 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
"Skr. v." means "Sanskrit version". The word may be bastard Sanskrit but it is attested in Devanagari in a running Sanskrit text. See here for an attestation, 7th line from the bottom. --Vahag (talk) 14:49, 28 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
