These templates never really had a clearly defined purpose. They were mostly used in Latin declension tables, but they could easily be substed there as there was no real gain in using a template for this purpose, so I did that. What remained was a rather random use, using them almost in any place where the case name could be used, without any clear logic. Some uses were in definitions (where we'd use {{inflection of}} or similar), as a context label, or just any other place. —CodeCat 21:43, 24 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
