Impressive stuff. Wonder if it will ever get used. Mglovesfun (talk) 16:14, 25 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I used it twice in creating [[snub cube]] (once for Archimedean solid and once for equilateral triangle).—msh210 17:43, 25 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Lang broken without subst[edit]

The language parameter used without template substitution breaks the template. For example, {{soplink|ein|{{=}}|schlagen|lang=de}} produces {{Xyzy|lang=de|einschlagen}}, whereas {{subst:soplink|ein|{{=}}|schlagen|lang=de}} produces the correct result of einschlagen (no einschlagen entry) or einschlagen. Good now?—msh210 (talk) 16:44, 21 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, thank you! LokiClock 12:55, 7 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Request: form# as default for alt#[edit]

So that one writes {{soplink|slá|kaup|form2=kaupi|lang=non}} and not {{soplink|slá|kaup|form2=kaupi|alt2=kaupi|lang=non}}. LokiClock 13:10, 7 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I should have done that from the outset. Now, though, the template is transcluded in fifty-odd pages, and I can't make that change without first checking whether it will ruin any transclusions (which is not something I have time or inclination to do at the moment). If someone assures me he's checked them and it won't, then the change to the template is easy to make and I'll be glad to do it.—msh210 (talk) 20:02, 8 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Surprisingly, only lazy 8s, and kaupa use the form args so far. יומנעים is the only usage of alt without form. LokiClock 16:12, 14 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
In that case, no pages uses form without an identical corresponding alt value already, so I've edited the template per your request.—msh210 (talk) 17:45, 14 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks a lot. I shaved the alts off lazy 8 and kaupa. LokiClock 20:51, 14 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

simplifying[edit]

I think

{{safesubst:#switch:{{{3}}}|-|/|{{=}}={{{4}}}|{{safesubst:#switch:{{{4}}}|-|/={{{4}}}|{{=}}=| {{{form4|{{{4}}}}}}}}}}

can be simplified to

{{safesubst:#switch:{{{3}}}{{{4}}}|-{{{4}}}|/{{{4}}}|{{=}}{{{4}}}|{{{3}}}-|{{{3}}}/={{{4}}}|{{{3}}}{{=}}=| {{{form4|{{{4}}}}}}}}

Is that right?—msh210 (talk) 20:08, 8 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

RFD discussion: January 2018–October 2019[edit]

The following information has failed Wiktionary's deletion process (permalink).

It should not be re-entered without careful consideration.

Not maintained, very few usages (~100), template is a spaghetti mess. – Jberkel 11:53, 26 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Delete. This template links to a multi-word/multi-morpheme entry if its page exists, and to the individual elements if it doesn’t. It seems therefore that the template has two unsolvable flaws: it works assuming that if a page exists, an entry in any language exists in that page, and it serves to disguise the lack of entries. — Ungoliant (falai) 19:25, 26 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
