English “Azerbaijani” as an attributive adjective usually corresponds in Latvian to azerbaidžāņu or azerbaidžāniešu, the genitive plural forms of azerbaidžānis and azerbaidžānietis. The adjective azerbaidžānisks is commonly used as a predicate (“this is Azerbaijani”), or in its adverbial form azerbaidžāniski.
