Etymology[edit]

From New Latin diūrēsis, from Ancient Greek διουρέω (diouréō, to urinate) + -σις (-sis).

Morphologically, δῐουρέω (diouréō) can be analysed as δι- (di-) + οὐρέω (ouréō).
