  1. (psychology) A personality disorder characterized largely by exaggerated emotions, and inappropriate attention-seeking and seductive behavior typically caused by undue amounts of trauma and related stress during childhood.
    Patients with histrionic personality disorder are sometimes accused of being attention whores.
