  1. A game played by tossing a coin and calling heads or tails.
    Synonym: heads or tails
  2. A game in which coins are thrown at a mark, the person who throws nearest having the right of tossing all the coins, and keeping those which come down head uppermost.
  3. (figurative) Careless treatment of something, or trusting to luck about it.
