     Pseudochylothorax (PCT) is a rare form of pleural effusion (PE), also called chyliform or cholesterol PE, and is characterized by its high cholesterol content and milky pleural fluid (PF). PCT and chylothorax both classically have a turbid or milky appearance due to their high lipid content. Apart from that, their etiologies, pathogenesis, and clinical implications differ, making it important to distinguish between them.
