Spanish[edit]

Etymology[edit]

Usually seen as a derivative of reseña +‎ -ar;[1] alternatively, it may correspond to Latin resignāre,[2][3][4] with the noun instead being the derivative. Compare Portuguese resenhar (to review). Cf. also resignar (to resign), which may be a borrowed doublet.

Pronunciation[edit]

  • IPA(key): /reseˈɲaɾ/ [re.seˈɲaɾ]
  • Rhymes: -aɾ
  • Syllabification: re‧se‧ñar

Verb[edit]

reseñar (first-person singular present reseño, first-person singular preterite reseñé, past participle reseñado)

  1. to review
  2. (Can we verify(+) this sense?) to make a sketch, outline
