From a Vulgar Latin subfrigere, from Latin sub- + frigere, present active infinitive of frigō.

Conjugation[edit]

  • Rule: e becomes i in certain conjugations and the i in certain endings is removed. Monosyllabic infinitives do not receive a written accent mark in certain conjugations.

Verb is conjugated like 'reír'. Irregular in the past participle.
