From tunn (thin) +‎ bröd (bread).

  1. A kind of very thin, either hard or soft flatbread originating in Norrland. Traditionally the dough is unleavened and made from barley or oats.
  2. Flatbread more generally.

Usage notes[edit]

Used to make a sandwich called a surströmmingsklämma when eating surströmming. Eaten more generally as a type of bread as well.
