     Ze względu na trudności finansowe i lokalny opór mieszkańców budowa nigdy nie została ukończona. W 2000 r. Alamsjah nie miał już pieniędzy na dalszą budowę i wstrzymał prace nad świątynią. Obecnie Gereja Ayam nie jest do końca opuszczona. W świątyni odbywają się uroczystości religijne i śluby. Osoby uzależnione od narkotyków, potrzebujące i niepełnosprawne również mogą liczyć na pomoc w tym miejscu. Oprócz funkcji religijnych, miejsce to jest również nietypową atrakcją turystyczną.

     Due to financial difficulties and local resistance from residents, construction was never completed. In 2000, Alamsjah no longer had the money to continue construction and halted work on the temple. Today, Gereja Ayam is not entirely abandoned. Religious ceremonies and weddings are held at the temple. Drug addicts, the needy, and the disabled can also find help here. In addition to its religious functions, the site is also an unusual tourist attraction.
