νῑ́κη (nī́kē, victory) +‎ ᾰ̓νδρο- (andro-, man) +‎ -ος (-os). Compare Ᾰ̓νδρόνῑκος (Andrónīkos, Andronicus), which contains the same components in the opposite order.
