εν (en) + τούτοις (toútois) (dative plural of Medieval τοῦτος (toûtos) from Ancient Greek οὗτος (hoûtos)). Learned borrowing from Byzantine Greek ἐν τούτοις (en toútois, in the meantime).[1]
