Ancient Greek

Alternative forms

Etymology

The formation is like τράφηξ (tráphēx), ὄρπηξ (órpēx) and νάρθηξ (nárthēx). The word has been compared with Proto-Germanic *haglaz (hail, hailstone). However, the presence of the alternative form points to a Lua error in Module:parameters at line 291: Parameter 2 should be a valid language, etymology language or family code; the value "pregrc" is not valid. See WT:LOL, WT:LOL/E and WT:LOF. origin.
