Etymology[edit]

Inherited from Byzantine Greek λογαριασμός (logariasmós, calculation), from aorist stem λογαριασ- of verb λογαριάζω (logariázo) + -μός (-mós). From Ancient Greek λογάριον (logárion), neuter diminutive of masculine λόγος (lógos).[1]
